Fall Fun

The past few months have been the perfect weather for being outside, although we did get our first snow yesterday.  I took a triple take to make sure I was really seeing it.

Here's a look at the last few months.

Go State!

Quick visit with Papa

Reading is a visitor requirement

See above- w/ Aunt Dawn

Jamming to Monster Mash

Sporting Brandon's bike gear for our Mops costume contest- his clothes fit a little better then I was hoping

Spending a lovely fall day outside

Look at me I'm 4 months old and this big

Our backyard- aka- why we bought our house

Love us some TN sunsets

Brandon has been really enjoying his new job as Business Development Manager at Stewart Transportation Solutions.  He was able to travel to Orlando, Seattle and Las Vegas in his first couple months on the job.    We're happy to have him home for a while now though :)

This fall I've also managed to tackle quite a few books including:

Forgotton God - Francis Chan
7- Jen Hatmaker
A Million Miles in a Thousand Years- Donald Miller
Interrupted - Jen Hatmaker
Love Does - Bob Goff
One Thousand Gifts  - Ann Voskamp

On deck:
Unglued - Lysa Terkeurst
Blue Like Jazz - Donald Miller

I dare say that after this year I can legitimately call myself a reader.  If you have any book recommendations feel free to send them my way.

We're looking forward to seeing all of our family in the next month and a half!

  1. Anything by Shauna Niequist - I really enjoyed her latest one, Bread & Wine (she also wrote Cold Tangerines and Bittersweet).
Carry On, Warrier by Glennon Melton (she writes the Momastery blog).
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.
I am reading Michael Pollen's latest book, Cooked, and finding it fascinating. I also just ordered Anne Lamott's Help, Thanks, Wow and Stitches.
