Fall Fun

The past few months have been the perfect weather for being outside, although we did get our first snow yesterday.  I took a triple take to make sure I was really seeing it.

Here's a look at the last few months.

Go State!

Quick visit with Papa

Reading is a visitor requirement

Love us some TN sunsets

Brandon has been really enjoying his new job as Business Development Manager at Stewart Transportation Solutions.  He was able to travel to Orlando, Seattle and Las Vegas in his first couple months on the job.    We're happy to have him home for a while now though :)

This fall I've also managed to tackle quite a few books including:

Forgotton God - Francis Chan
7- Jen Hatmaker
A Million Miles in a Thousand Years- Donald Miller
Interrupted - Jen Hatmaker
Love Does - Bob Goff
One Thousand Gifts  - Ann Voskamp

On deck:
Unglued - Lysa Terkeurst
Blue Like Jazz - Donald Miller

I dare say that after this year I can legitimately call myself a reader.  If you have any book recommendations feel free to send them my way.

We're looking forward to seeing all of our family in the next month and a half!

3

Yesterday our little car-loving, non-stop moving, always hungry, random hug giving, crazy haired stinker turned 3.  He's definitely our little boy now and shows no signs of the baby he once was.  His happy go lucky and friendly personality brings smiles to our faces everyday!

Splashpad with Mom, Planes movie with Dad and lots of cake and presents makes for one happy 3 year old :)

Look I'm 3!

Blowing out his candles

His current obsession- All things Cars related

Having fun at the splashpad

Mason James

We are so blessed to have welcomed Mason James into our family on July 6th.  I went into labor just after noon and about 15 minutes into it we realized we needed to be on our way to the hospital as soon as possible.  Thankfully my friend Meagan was just down the road at her sisters and was able to pick up Myles right away.  After a crazy ride to the hospital and a glorious epidural, Mason entered the world at 2:32pm.  He weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 18 inches long with brown hair and blue eyes.

Note: if expecting, make sure you have gas in your car, especially when the doctor tells you the day before you will probably go into labor in the next day or so- oops:)

Praising God for blessing us with another beautiful, healthy baby boy!

A big thanks to our Moms for driving all the way down and helping out with Myles and Mason the last two weeks!   Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!  We love you!

Homestretch

Well with July here, we are in the homestretch.  18 days until our due date.  Besides sorting through the numerous totes of baby stuff here's a little peek at how we've been keep busy lately.

Taking advantage of the warm weather and spending time in the yard.  This is Molly and Blackfoot, our neighbors.  Besides them we have had a flock of turkeys that hang out in the yard, along with some deer and a snake.  Myles was kind enough to point out the snake to me.

Train ride at the zoo w/ his friend Chloe.

Brandon taking part in The Big Hill Challenge

Birthday party fun at BounceU

Getting ready for Daddy to light off some fireworks.  Unfortunately, this smile only lasted until the first firework went off.

Pool time

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Catching up from April and May

First fire of the year.
Myles whole-heartedly approved of smores

We went strawberry picking with some friends.  It took Myles a little bit to realize he could be eating the strawberries instead of putting them in the bucket.  Once that moment hit, my helper was gone.

Still being helpful

Love the juice dripping down his face

The fruits of our labor

We also discovered Snow White's Drive-In back in April.  Myles got to have his first ice cream cone and yes, he ended up riding home in his diaper :)

Myles' newest obsession:  playdoh + construction vehicles.
