We spent the last week soaking up the sun and fun in Florida. The first day and a half we spent hanging out at the pool and mini splash pad at our condo. Myles got his first taste of swimming by himself (sort of). His only experience up until now in the pool has been in a little raft thing. After getting some sound advice from his Aunt we went with the life jacket and swimmies. This worked out great! He loved being on his own and we loved not having to hold him the whole time.
We did our best to keep our expectations in check and be prepared that Myles may not like Disney World as much as we had been hoping. Thankfully that wasn't necessary as he loved it! We spent the majority of one day at the Magic Kingdom (minus a brief trip back to the condo for a quick nap). We managed to get in quite a few rides including two trips on Myles favorite ride "Dumpy" as he called it.

After our time in Orlando we headed to Daytona. It wasn't quite the experience we were hoping for. Myles enjoyed the sand a bit but didn't want anything to do with the ocean. The waves coming at him freaked him out too much and the weather wasn't the greatest. We ended up heading home a day early because of those reasons.
Running to his mommy because the waves were coming |
Collecting sand for his castles |
Building sand castles |
Bashing Daddy's hard work |
The attempted dinner at Aunt Catfish- we ended up taking a pizza back to our room :) |
All in all we had a great time. Myles was an excellent traveler and we hope to make a trip back to Disney when the next little one is at this age.
